Mersey Packrafting

Join us for a day of packrafting on the Mersey. We will be running the 'Wild water Race Course' which is a 4km section with consistent grade 2 rapids and some nice features, we will aim to do 2-3 laps over the course of the day. The trip will be limited to 4 participants as the club only has 4 packrafts, Josh Resta and some other club members will already be at the Mersey with their own boats and we will join them. We will also be sharing the water release with Paddle Week and would expect to see some other boats on river. This trip isn't open to complete beginners and participation will be at the description of Josh Resta. If you have any questions about this feel free to get in contact with me.

The trip is planned around when I have time off work and the Mersey is 4 hours drive away, so will be an early one.

Monday:

5:30am Meet at the sheds

6am Depart sheds

4 hours of driving plus any stops

Aiming to be on river by 11am

Off river late afternoon

Camping will be on the banks of the Mersey (probably at Berlin Wall)

Tuesday:

8:30am depart Camp

1:30pm Arrive at the sheds
