About the trip

How better to spend the first weekend of summer than to get as cold as possible jumping off some alpine waterfalls?

The details of the plan are going to depend on signups and weather closer to the day, but general gist is going to be to meet near one of the NW canyons Saturday morning and spend a day swimming, abseiling and jumping our way down a rockin' good canyon, camp (most likely Olivers Road campsite) then choose another canyon and do it all again on Sunday.

The number of participants we can take will depend on guide availability and individual experience, so make sure you let me know your canyoning (or other outdoor activity experience) when signing up. I'll get back to you ASAP once we know how many we can take.

All canyoning equipment including wetsuits, helmets, harnesses, ropes etc will be provided. Due to the high wear and tear on canyoning gear, there's a $10/day charge to use this equipment.

Likely Canyons:

Dove Canyon is a commerically run canyon that involves two easy abseils and alot of jumping off waterfalls and go down The Laundry Chute, a 10m natural slide! This is a great beginner canyon for anyone comfortable swimming and jumping! Abseiling experiance is preferable but not necessary as we can teach you on the day.

Machinery Creek is all abseiling and floating in the sun with minimal jumping. The first abseil is the longest at 20m tall so if you suffer from vertigo this is not the canyon for you.

Phoenix Gorge is shorter and more technical, the highlight feature being a 30m slide!!! Not a beginner canyon
